Francis Cauffman Appoints Leslie Farrell Director of Client Development for New York
Architecture firm Francis Cauffman has appointed Leslie Farrell as the new Director of Client Development for its New York office. Ms. Farrell has more than 15 years of experience in client development and marketing in New York and has worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies. She is recognized for her skill in generating new business and developing client relationships with senior decision makers. Francis Cauffman’s office in New York City has been growing since 2006 and will push further into healthcare, science + technology, and corporate markets.

Ms. Farrell began her career at Cosentini Associates, where she spent six years as the Director of Human Resources before rising to Director of Business Development and Marketing. She later joined the Switzer Group where, as Director of Marketing and Business Development, she was responsible for cultivating relationships with a wide variety of Fortune 500 companies.
Ms. Farrell received her Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University and her Master of Fine Arts from Rutgers University. In the past, she has served on the Perspective Real Estate Media Group’s Advisory Board and on the Board of Directors for The Society for Marketing Professional Services. She also founded Architects for Animals (http://architectsforanimals.com/), a fund raising event, which has quickly grown to one of the AEC industry’s most beloved philanthropic events.
Hidrock Realty Announces Promotions of Robert Kaplan and Yvette Shin
Manhattan-based commercial real estate owner Hidrock Realty is pleased to announce the recent promotions of Robert Kaplan and Yvette Shin.
Robert Kaplan has been promoted to director of leasing, and is responsible for managing the day-to-day leasing activity at Hidrock, including marketing spaces, drafting and negotiating proposals, negotiating leases, preparing leasing reports, and keeping Hidrock’s partners apprised of all leasing activity, as well as assisting in maintaining and updating Hidrock’s turnkey office build-out program. A LEED AP-certified real estate professional, Kaplan joined Hidrock as a leasing associate in 2004 and promoted to senior leasing associate in 2007. He was named one of Real Estate Weekly’s “Rising Stars” in 2007. Kaplan graduated from Rutgers University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in arts with a certificate in urban planning and real estate development.
Yvette Shin has been promoted to director of marketing. In her new role, Shin is responsible for coordinating marketing materials initiatives to highlight the firm’s portfolio of commercial spaces. Shin joined Hidrock in 2010 as the executive assistant to the CEO. She studied political science at Tufts University.

Jones Lang LaSalle Ramps Up Supply Chain/Logistics Expertise With Silverman Hire
Jones Lang LaSalle today announced Robert Silverman will join the firm as Senior Vice President of its supply chain & logistics solutions team in its New Jersey Industrial Services group. Silverman, who joins in May, will be based in the firm’s Hasbrouck Heights office.

Silverman joins from Tommy Hilfiger USA where he was Vice President of IT Business Systems. Prior to this, Silverman was President of Gross & Associates, a mid-sized logistics consulting firm, where he was responsible for managing the overall business and directing projects in supply chain network optimization, distribution center sizing and design, operations improvement, and computer simulation modeling throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia.
Silverman was recently chair of the board for Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and is past President of the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC).

Reilly, an office leasing specialist, played an instrumental role as part of the team that launched Jones Lang LaSalle in New Jersey in January of 2005. He is based in the firm’s Parsippany, N.J. office. Reilly has been a commercial real estate professional specializing in New Jersey’s office market since 1982. Jones Lang LaSalle Hires Tom Walsh Joins as Vice President
Jones Lang LaSalle today announced that the firm has hired Thomas Walsh as a Vice President with its Americas Capital Markets practice. Walsh, who is responsible for directing the underwriting and marketing of investment property sales in the suburban markets surrounding New York City, is based in the firm’s Parsippany, N.J., office. He will work under the direction of Managing Directors Joe Garibaldi and Peter Nicoletti.

Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Walsh was a senior financial analyst for a major brokerage firm. During this time, Walsh executed more than 3.5 million square feet of office sales.

Jones Lang LaSalle announced today that the firm has hired Linda Hill to serve as a Vice President for its Industrial Services Group, which is New Jersey’s leader in industrial services based on total leasing transaction volume. Hill is based in the company’s Metropark location in Iselin, N.J.
